EWAS Cleavage/Modification Reactions
Use
When describing a cleavage/modification event the EWAS used as input must be changed for the out put of that reaction. Two new EWAS must be created using different endCoordinate and startCoordinate or modification slots that reflect the new endpoints or modifications of the protein.
NYCCM08 Notes
- Never, never change someone else's EWAS. Contact that person and see how it is being used. EWAS should never be duplicated, even if you want to change the name (new names can always be added, after you talk to the creator of that EWAS or the Chief editor)
- Reasons for making a new EWAS that is similar to an existing EWAS:
- Modification
- Cleavage
- Splicing
- Compartment change
